1364、motion n. 动，运动；提议，动议
［巧记］派生词：motivate（v. 给...动机; 激发; 刺激）同义词：activity（n.活动; 行动）
［语境］He opened the door and motioned me to come in.
他打开了门，招手让我进去。
Parts of the film were shown again in slow motion.
影片的一些部分以慢动作重放。
［考点］go through the motions（of）敷衍，作出……的姿态；put/set ... in motion使……开始运动；motion to sb 向……打手势；motion aside（away）让某人离开或靠边 。
1365、motivate vt. 作为……的动机，促动；激励
［语境］We were all motivated by the great ambtion.
我们被这宏伟的理想激励着。
［考点］motivate只做及物动词，但说激发，促使某人做某事时，通常用make或cause 。

［巧记］派生词：mourning n.悲伤，哀伤；mourner n.哀悼者，送丧者；mournful adj.悲哀的，凄惨的；反义词： descend（v. 下降）dismount

［语境］The government's announcement is seen as a move towards settling the strike.

［语境］The patient is much the same this morning.
今晨病人情况几无变化。
1369、multiply［］v. 乘；增加；繁殖
［巧记］Multi-表示”很多,很多”
［语境］Four multiplied by seven is twenty-eight.
7乘4等于28。
We must multiply our efforts to clear up the mystery.
我们必须加倍努力来澄清这一神秘的事件。
［考点］multiply通常做不及物动词，做及物动词时后面加up。multiply enormously大量增加。

［考点］短语a multitude of。
1371、murder n./vt. 谋杀，凶杀
［巧记］派生词：murderous（adj. 凶狠的, 致命的, 杀人的）
［语境］He was accused of murdering the little girl.
他被指控谋杀了这个小女孩。
［考点］ murder will out谋杀案必然要暴露；get away with murder逍遥法外，为所欲为。
1372、must aux./v. 必须；很可能；一定要 n. 必须做的事
［语境］Something must be done about it.
必须得想个办法。
1373、mutual a. 相互的；共同的
［巧记］同义词：common
［语境］My friend and I have mutual enthusiasm for music.
我和我的朋友对音乐有着共同的爱好。
The help is mutual.
帮助是相互的。
［考点］mutual benefit互利；mutual respect for each other相互尊敬；mutual dislike相互憎恨。
1374、mysterious a. 神秘的，可疑的，难理解的
［巧记］mystery 神秘的事物+-ious
［语境］There are many mysterious stories about the Egyptian pyramids.
关于埃及金字塔有许多神秘的故事。
［考点］词语辨析：mysterious神秘的：神秘的、有关神秘的或是神秘的；mystical神秘主义的、人神灵交的。
1375、mystery n. 神秘，神秘的事；神秘小说，侦探小说
［语境］The ending of the matter keeps mysterous now.
事情的结尾到现在仍然是个谜。
The crimes committed there invested the place with an air of mystery and gloom.

1378、nasty a. 肮脏的，卑劣的，下流的；令人厌恶的
［巧记］同义词：dirty（a. 肮脏的） disgusting（a.令人厌恶的）
［语境］They took the lid off a nasty scandal.
他们揭露了一件肮脏的丑闻。
The people are looking forward to being delivered from the nasties.
人民期待着从不愉快的状况中解脱出来。
［考点］a nasty look。
1379、national a. 民族的，国家的，国立的
［语境］A lot has been done in the recovery of national economy in the past few years.

［巧记］反义词：foreign（n. 外国人）
